A hand-decorated French Emaux de Longwy pottery shallow bowl resting on a ring foot with an incised, cloisonné-style craquelure glaze by Albert Kirchtetter. The decoration features a blue and orange bird and a blue butterfly surrounded by pink and purple blossoms and green leaves with brown branches and stems on a pale peachy-pink ground. The underside is glazed in a pale turquoise blue, while the rim and foot are a contrasting dark cobalt blue. Although the foot rim is pierced for display on the wall, the bowl would also make an attractive desk accessory or brighten up an entry or console table.

Very good condition with the Longwy factory's signature Chinese-style craquelure crazing, measuring 1.75 in. height x 8.75 in. diameter. Fully marked underfoot with Longwy's "ribbon brand" printed mark in green. The enhancer/rehausseur's "AK" initials refer to Albert Kirchtatter who worked at Longwy from 1929-1976.
