Two Scandinavian Modern BACA vases designed by Nils Thorsson for Royal Copenhagen of Denmark in the 1960s. Thorsson's design in neutral shades of brown, beige, and white consists of abstracted bird, fish, and flower motifs framed by decorative borders.

The midcentury art pottery vessels are in very good condition with marks dating their production between 1979 and 1983. The vases measure 8.75 inches and 7.38 inches in height and both bear full printed factory marks on the base, including Royal Copenhagen / Denmark / Fajance over Nils Thorsson's artist cipher.

Nils Johan Thorvald Thorsson (1898–1975) was a Swedish-Danish ceramic artist, a prolific designer, and the Artistic Director of Royal Copenhagen. Thorsson's work exemplifies midcentury Danish modernism; he designed the Baca production range in the 1960s.
