Two late 19th century porcelain plates by Martial Redon hand-painted by Bawo & Dotter's Elite Works in Limoges, France. Each antique plate is skillfully decorated with naturalistic, hand-painted floral sprays with gilt highlights and scalloped golden rims on a pale ivory-colored ground. Although likely designed as cabinet pieces for display, they are perfectly sized for salad or dessert at 8 in. diameter. Good condition with crisp decoration and a few small spots of wear. Each plate bears a red Elite / Limoges / FRANCE mark used between 1896 and 1900 over a green underglaze M R / FRANCE mark for Martial Redon, used between 1891 and 1906.
