An Art Deco silver overlay porcelain desk set from Germany consisting of a dagger-shaped letter opener, a covered stamp box and a tray with an enclosed and covered inkwell.

Each piece ornamented with a heavy pure silver overlay from the workshop of Friedrich Wilhelm Spahr. The marks indicate an early Spahr & Co./Silberbelegwaren-Fabrik design, dating from the late 1930s to early 1940s. The handle of the dagger, the lid and base of stamp box and back of the inkwell are each stamped SPAHR 1000 10 — 1000 referencing the purity of the silver.

The silver encloses Rosenthal porcelain in a deep contrasting terra cotta glaze with a green printed Rosenthal / Selb Bavaria mark on the base of the inkwell dish. The interior of the inkwell lid bears the handwritten initials K.M. in green.

All pieces very good to excellent condition with a pin prick glaze pop in the lid of the stamp box.
