A large Royal Doulton flambé Art Deco vase, dating circa 1930. The English art pottery vase is enveloped in a high-fired flambé glaze of deep red shading to black and blue with fiery golden tendrils. Doulton's chief designer, Charles Noke (1858-1941) used metallic oxides to create these sophisticated ornamental glazes in patterns and colors unique to every piece.

The vase is in very good condition, free-from chips, cracks or repair, measuring 10.75 in. H, bearing a black printed Royal Doulton standard mark (lion, crown and roundel) over flambé / Veined / 1619 underfoot.
