Nils Thorsson Solberg series vase designed in the 1930s and manufactured by Royal Copenhagen Aluminia Faience Factory of Copenhagen, Denmark in 1959. The vintage vessel is decorated with a rich dark brown matte glaze over molded Art Deco marine motifs of fish and a seashell on either side.

The midcentury art pottery vessel is in very good condition, measuring 4 in. H x 6.5 in. L x 4 in. D., marked with a beehive mark underfoot (A from Aluminia and three wavy lines from Royal Copenhagen) 1602 / 1873. The mark includes a "u" under the "m" in Denmark, dating the piece to 1959. 

Nils Johan Thorvald Thorsson (1898–1975) was a Swedish-Danish ceramic artist, a prolific designer, and the Artistic Director of Royal Copenhagen. Thorsson designed the Solberg production line in the 1930s.
