An Art Deco platter from the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair produced by The Cronin China Company of Minerva, Ohio (1934-1956) for the National Brotherhood of Operative Potters Exhibit. This vintage serving platter features a crisp and colorful transfer-printed decoration of the fair's iconic Trylon and Perisphere structures on a pale creram-colored ground with gilt accents around the border and handles. Good condition with uniform, age-appropriate crazing overall, a little gilt wear, and a small nick along the inner edge of the border. Fully marked on the base, measuring 10.5 in W (at handles).
