A Scandinavian Modern BACA pillow vase by Royal Copenhagen of Denmark, date marked for 1975-1978. Nils Thorsson designed the shape and Ellen Malmer the decor (sometimes called Seedburst) of organic spirals in shades of brown with olive green and yellow accents on a crisp white ground. The mouth and shoulders are glazed in a translucent and speckled butterscotch brown.

The midcentury art pottery vessel is in very good condition, measuring 7.5 in. height x 5.75 in. W x 3.5 in. D. The base bears full printed factory marks, including Royal Copenhagen / Denmark / Fajance over Ellen Malmer's artist cipher.
