A handsome English serving tray from the Art Deco period by Joseph Sankey and Sons, Ltd., (JS&S) of Bilston, Staffordshire. The vintage art metal tray is decorated with an embossed lizard / snakeskin pattern, measuring 12 in. Diameter -- the perfect size for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, or cupcakes. Very good, original condition; the copper has a lovely old patina accentuating the snakeskin design, marked J.S.&S.B. on the base.

Joseph Sankey & Sons (JS&S) was an English art metal firm operating circa 1896 through the early 1930s. JS&S manufactured domestic hollowware objects in brass, copper, and chrome including decorative trays and salvers, ewers, tea caddies, watering cans, and jardinieres.
