An American Arts & Crafts bronze vase with a sterling silver pine branch overlay from Heintz Art Metal Shop of Buffalo, New York, dating circa 1915. The vase has a tapering cylindrical body with a flared base and mouth and a rich brown patina ornamented with a flowing and organic pine branch overlay of sterling silver.

The antique vase is 10 inches in height and fully marked on the base with form and decorative style designations 3687 A and an impressed Heintz mark consisting of overlapping "HAMS" letters enclosed within a diamond over STERLING ON BRONZE PAT. AUG. 27. 12. The vase is in good condition with a few cosmetic issues including scattered scuffs and shallow scratches, several dings and small dents around the foot rim and a dip in the upper rim; please check the photos for details.

Heintz Art metal produced a popular range of decorative objects from circa 1906-1930. The workshop used heat and chemicals to produce their distinctive patinas in bronze brown, Verde dark green, Royal red, Acid-etched silver, gold dore, and French grey silver.
