A mid 20th century porcelain vase from the Furstenberg Porcelain Factory with a pure silver overlay by Friedrich Wilhelm Spahr of Germany. The white porcelain body is glazed in black with contrasting tulip blossoms shading from pink to white. The vase has a pure silver overlay with gently curving lines and bands of silver, creating stems, leaves, and outlines around each of the tulips with silver bands at the foot and rim. Stamped SPAHR 1000 on the upper rim signifying a pure silver overlay crafted from the highest quality of silver available. The base bears a blue underglaze crown logo over F (for Furstenberg) / Seit 1747.. Very good original condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. measuring 8.5 in. Height x 4 in. diameter (at widest). Porzellanmanufaktur Fürstenberg was founded in the German State of Lower Saxony in 1747.
