A superb early 20th century Art Nouveau art pottery vase from Pierrefonds Pottery of France. The two-handled antique vessel dates circa 1905 and is decorated with a glaze of variegated shades of blue over a tan/butterscotch brown ground with blue crystalline accents overall. 

Very good condition with several glaze pops from the firing, measuring 11 in. H x 5.5 in. (at widest). Impressed Pierrefonds factory mark (heraldic helmet flanked by P & H) over Pierrefonds, form number 389, and Made / In / France written on the base. 

At the end of the 19th century, Count Olivier de Sorra's French factory, Pierrefonds Pottery, was known for the production of Fine stoneware with artistic crystalline glazes. In 1903, The company became The Societe Faienciere Heraldique de Pierrefonds Pottery studio, continuing their production of sophisticated forms enveloped in crystalline and flambe glazes.
