An early 20th century oval footed bowl in hand hammered 800 silver by Hugo Böhm & Co. of Schwäbisch Gmünd, founded in 1887. The antique solid silver bowl was hand wrought in the Arts & Crafts style circa 1900 and is a handsome table centerpiece filled with bread, fruit, or flowers. The oval bowl features a flaring scalloped rim and ribbed body atop a spreading oval foot with full stamped marks on the base: crescent moon / crown / 800 (purity) followed by German silversmith Hugo Bohm's maker's mark. Good condition with shallow surface scratches and a little tarnish, measuring 11.5 in. L x 7.75 in. W x 2.75 in. Height and weighs 12.59 oz / 365.9 g / 229.49 dwt. No monograms.
