A Boch Freres Keramis art pottery vase designed by Raymond Chevallier (1900-1959) in the company's Persian decor produced at La Louvière, Belgium during the late Art Deco period, circa 1940.

The Boch Freres studio led by Chevallier's colleague and predecessor, Charles Catteau, produced a notable range of bold and colorful ceramics during the opening decades of the 20th century, influenced by Cubism, Japonisme, and the natural world. This vase bears the company's decor number "D.69" which is a well-documented "Persian" decorative pattern of polychrome floral medallions, foliate tendrils, and floral palmette motifs. The enameled decor was hand-painted in a bold and bright combination of teal green, cobalt blue, and orange-red against a craquelure ground with a glazed ivory interior.

Very good condition, measuring 9.25 inches height x 9 inches at widest point. Marked with a hand-painted black "D.69" decor number, alongside the number "16" on base.
