An antique biscuit barrel jar from Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) of Germany. The early 20th century covered jar has a silver plated metal rim, bail handle, and lid. The clear glass body is decorated with Secessionist / Art Nouveau décor featuring three flashed medallions of dark ruby red with engraved accents connected by ribbons encircling the jar. The outer edge of the rim is stamped with one of WMF's ostrich marks which includes "WMF" and "G" for Geislingen an der Steige. The "G" was typically included on WMF's pieces created for the French market.

Very good, age-appropriate condition with some wear to the silver-plated surfaces, a small ripple/ding at the edge of the lid (which still fits/sits securely) and a few small scuffs/scratches to the glass, measuring 7.5 in. height (to top of finial) x 5 in diameter.
