An antique Wedgwood biscuit barrel in deep blue jasper ware with white Neoclassical trees and sacrifice figures in relief. The cylindrical-shaped covered jar was made in England during the late Victorian period, circa 1880s to early 1890s. The canister has a glazed white interior and the base is marked WEDGWOOD. The silver-plated fittings from Daniel & Arter of Birmingham bear a D&A mark over EPNS / 8440 on the underside of the lid.

Good condition with a few scuffs and tiny nicks on the body, The silver-plate has a some tarnish and a shallow divot in the lid, but fits into the rim securely. The jar measures 6.5 in. H (to top of finial) x 5.25 in. diameter (at rim).
