An Austrian / Bohemian vase of deep blue art glass with pink, blue, and gold iridescence overall and an open work Jugendsti metal collar enclosing the rim. The antique vase dates circa 1900 and is shaped like a bell with a cylindrical neck swelling at the shoulders on a spreading base. The art glass has a satin finish and the iridescence changes the color in differing lighting conditions, shading from a deep cobalt blue to an inky purple indigo. The open work silver metal mount consists of stylized water lily / lotus blossom motifs. The Art Nouveau vase is in very good condition and apparently unmarked but examples of similar designs in colorful iridescent art glass with pierced metal collars are commonly attributed to Bohemian / Austrian Carl Stölzle Glassworks of Suchenthal, which is now part of the Czech Republic. The vessel measures 7.75 in. height x 5.75 in. diameter (at base) x 3.25 in. diameter (at rim).
