An antique sterling silver bon bon dish manufactured by the successful New York silversmiths at Whiting Manufacturing Company.
The bowl is ideal for serving candy or nuts and is perfectly sized for use as a wine bottle coaster. Bold Art Nouveau swirls, whiplashes and blossom motifs join a hand-engraved letter E monogram to decorate this artistic piece of late 19th century silver.
Marked underfoot STERLING / 6421 with the Whiting Manufacturing Company's winged lion touch mark.
Excellent condition, weighing 68.3 grams, measuring: 1.25 in. H x 6 in. diameter.
