An antique Austrian vase of ivory porcelain by Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel (RStK) Amphora of Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia (Austria) dating between 1899 and 1900. The Art Nouveau vase features two dragon-shaped handles, gilt accents, and hand-painted decor including a bird approaching a spider dangling from its web.
The vase is illustrated in Richard L. Scott's Ceramics from The House of Amphora, 1890-1915, pg. 72, fig. 68. Embossed marks underfoot: Three pointed crown over AMPHORA [in an oval] / 2075 [model/form number]. Very good original condition with just a little wear to the gilt rim, measuring 7.25 in. H
