Very good condition, measuring 6.25 in. H x 4.25 in. Dia. (at widest). Rookwood's RP flame trademark, XXXVIII  / 6705 [form number] impressed on the base.
Maria Longworth Nichols (1849-1932) founded Rookwood Pottery in 1880 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rookwood quickly became America's pre-eminent art pottery, winning a number of prestigious awards including the Grand Prix at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris.
