A Marc Chagall (Russian-French, 1887-1985) color lithograph printed by Maeght, Paris; published by Derrière Le Miroir, Paris; cover image for No. 27/28 from 1950. Very good condition and impression with vibrant colors and text on verso, as issued. Mounted in a black archival book/window mat, measuring 18 in. H x 14 in. W. Artwork sheet measures 14.75 in. H x 11 in. W. The contemporary art review and journal, Derrière Le Miroir (Behind The Mirror), from French publisher and gallery owner Aimé Maeght of Galerie Maeght, was published from 1946 until 1982. Each issue contained unsigned original lithographs by notable Modernist artists created exclusively for the publication.
