A mid-century continental vase of opaque orange art glass encased within a sophisticated overlay of pure silver. The vintage glass is likely of Czech/Bohemian origin with the ornamental silver overlay designed and completed during the 1950s in Germany. The silver bears a 1000/1000 stamped mark around the bottom rim signifying a pure silver overlay crafted from the highest quality of available silver. The mark was used by a handful of specialist metalworkers in Germany, including Friedrich Deutsch and Friedrich Wilhelm Spahr, but this design is likely the work of the Manfred Veyhl silver studio, The vase bears an additional letter "L" stamp on one foot. The vessel is in good condition with one small loss of a silver overlay design element, measuring 6.13 in. H x 4 in W.
