A set of three Mid-Century Modern bowls in a deep, ruby red "color-glazed" silver plate, designed by metal smith John Prip (1922-2009) and introduced by Reed and Barton in 1961. These pieces are illustrated on pages 270 and 271 of Jewel Stern's publication, Modernism in American Silver: 20th Century Design. Reed and Barton offered their enamel-like, color glazes in a range of jewel tones; the ruby red color was one of the company's initial offerings along with sapphire blue and emerald green.

Each piece in very good condition with undamaged colored surfaces; bases of round and triangle bowls show expected scuffs / shallow scratches.

The triangle bowl is marked Reed & Barton / 241 / CA underfoot, measuring 6 in. diameter x 2.2 in. H.
The free-form bowl rests on an oval foot and is marked Reed & Barton / 64 / CA underfoot, measuring 6.9 in. L x 3.5 in. W x 1.8 in. H.
The round bowl is marked Reed & Barton / 192 / CA underfoot, measuring 4.3 in. diameter x 1 in. H.
