Nick Munro's collaboration with Wedgwood began in the late 1990s when the designer was commissioned to redesign a range of Wedgwood's classic Jasperware items for a contemporary audience. Munro created 20 modernist offerings, including this shallow dish or ashtray. The spiral motif is an homage to Keith Murray's Art Deco designs for Wedgwood earlier in the 20th century.

The ceramic spiral dish is in very good condition and decorated with a bright white glaze. The piece measures 1.38 in. H x 6.88 in. Dia.. with a black printed factory mark underfoot: Nick Munro / FOR / WEDGWOOD / ENGLAND 1759 / BONE CHINA inside a circle.
