A stunning baluster-shaped porcelain faience vase produced in Hungary by the Zsolnay pottery in Pecs from the late 1950s into the 1960s.
Gabriella Törzsök designed this unique textured and crackled surface, sometimes referred to as broken panel or reptile skin. This vase was produced with Zsolnay's signature eosin glaze in red with contrasting golden iridescent highlights.
The vase is pictured in Federico Santi & John Gacher's Zsolnay Ceramics Collecting a Culture, pg. 170.
