A large Art Deco console bowl in silver and black from the NKA Ikora workshop of WMF AG (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) of Geislingen, Germany. WMF designed this flaring bowl form in 1933, initially offering the decor scheme in their 1934 catalogue as form 780, decoration 1683. The bowl is published and illustrated on pages 71, 221, and 231 of Dr. Carlo Burschel & Heinz Scheiffele's WMF Ikora Metalwork from the 1920s to the 1960s, 2006.

The large vessel rests on three round disk feet; the interior is boldly decorated with alternating black and silver stripes radiating outward from the center. The bowl displays beautifully and is in good structural condition with several surface imperfections, including some dark spots and scratches related to age and use, particularly on the underside. The bowl measures 13.75 in. W x 3.5 in. H. The underside is marked: WMF / IKORA / GERMANY / SILVERPLATE, a mark used between 1950-1969.
