An Art Deco stoneware baluster form vase from la Societe Denert et Balichon (Denbac Pottery) of France, dating circa 1930. Denbac's gres flammes or flamed sandstone art pottery decorations are unique to every piece; this vase features a drip glaze in shades of brown, ochre, and blue-green over a contrasting green ground.

The vessel is in very good condition bearing an impressed "Denbac" mark (under the glaze) with form number 545 underfoot. The vase measures 7 in. H x 5 in. diameter.

Denbac is the brand name for the Denert and Balichon Company of Vierzon in central France. The Denbac name is a contraction of the partners surnames; ceramist Rene Denert and manager Rene-Louis Balichon.
