An Amphora Pottery Art Nouveau vase, circa 1901/02 from Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel (RStK) of Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia (Austria), today the Teplice region of the Czech Republic.

Hard earthenware with a yellowish body and decoration known as the "Confetti Decor" with thick threads in relief buttressing the form on four sides and encircling the upper rim. Underglaze painting in matte cobalt with large, crackling spots of light green, rose and ochre frits. Interior and base glazed with a pale, iridescent blue.

Impressed marks underfoot: 3736 [model no.] / AMPHORA / AUSTRIA [in a notched oval] / [impressed crown] / 20. Very good condition, no chips or repair, but several glaze pops from initial firing, measuring 8.3 in. (21 cm) H.

Richard L. Scott pictures an example of the same vase model with Confetti Decor in Ceramics from The House of Amphora, 1890-1915, pg. 172, fig. 278.
